Vertical vorticity evolution

The evolution of the vertical vorticity (rotation in the horizontal plane) is shown below. For the frontal case, vertical vorticity exists in the initial state, but the magnitude is below the isosurface value used here (chosen for clarity later in the simulation).

The view is towards the west-northwest.
