Glen joined the CMG in Fall 1999 and completed his MS project on a numerical simulation of Hurricane Opal in 2002 and his doctorate in 2008 on storm-scale data assimilation. He continues to look at issues related to storm-scale assimilation particularly of polarimetric radar observations using the ensemble Kalman filter methodology. He also is pursuing in situ observing systems of supercell storm microphysics, with an interest in verifying polarimetric based retrieval systems and microphysical parameterizations used in cloud models for the simulation of supercell storms.
